The Durmitor Mountain – National Park and Durmitor Ring Tour
Durmitor is famous for its Durmitor Ring bike tour. Durmitor ring is a circular road all around this mountain and over Tara and Piva rivers’ plateau. Entire road is 85 km long and entire road is asphalted. The route follows mountain peaks above 2.000 m, two high mountain passages – Sedlo at 1.907 m and Štuoc at 1.950m. Continuing through the Sušica river canyon and town of Žabljak which is located at altitude of 1.450 m and holds its title of highest urban settlement in the Balkans. Along the route you’ll see some of the authentic villages with the hundred year old lifestyle still cherished.
Durmitor was declared National Park in 1952. and was listed as UNESCO “World Natural and Cultural Heritage” in 1980. This National Park constitutes the hearth of a landscape. It is shaped by numerous rivers, underground streams and many glaciers. Its high peaks, forests, alpine meadows, plateaus as well as many glacial lakes – known as “mountain eyes”, contribute greatly to its amazing scenery.

    The Tara River
Tara River is also listed as UNESCO world natural heritage. With its clean water and 82 km length it is known as “tear of the Europe”. Magnificent canyon that this river forms with its highest point at 1300 m makes it second deepest in the world, just below the Colorado Grand Canyon!
There is also a possibility for Tara rafting and we’ll be glad to arrange it for you if you are interesting.

    Biogradska Gora National Park
Biogradska Gora was declared National Park in 1952 because of its diversity of fauna and flora, unique geological-morphological terrain, large tops and slopes and glacier lakes at altitude of 1.820 m. There are 150 species of birds, 10 different species of mammals and 220 species of plant. Some forests are made of over five hundred year old trees.
